Has anyone worked out a good/safe way of tying down a Europa Trigear ?
Hi David,
I made up a couple of aluminium plates Approx. 3" long tapering from 1.5" to
1" wide with a .75" hole at the large end and a 3/16" hole at the narrow end.
The plates are attached between the outer flap hinge plates by the 3/16" bolt
that retains the speed fairing cover. A small slot needs to be cut in the cover
to allow part of the tiedown to protrude. The tie down is prevented from moving
sideways by fitting a short length of steel tube each side of the tie down
on the 3/16" retaining bolt. A bit tricky to fit but is possible.
