Kevin,

Perhaps the simplest approach for you is to cut away the front of your
module and install one of the new facia panels. Blank ones are available
for individual instrument fits and the engine instrument panel is a
straightforward rectangle, so it's easily made. This would save you having
to pick up the module attachment holes, that you'd have to do with a new
module, and some cash to boot.

I would expect that the new Tri-gear instrument modules will come on stream
this side of Christmas, so if I say from the new year we shouldn't
disappoint.

Andy,

Please keep us advised of the details in my case for the trigear panel. Even
though I have a completed Europa I will consider changing it. Personally I
want to fit the Airzone GX2 a fantastic piece of kit, but unfortunately its
not worth retrofitting as I will be left with all the holes from my disused
analogue Engine instruments.

Kind regards

PS for those not familiar with the GX2 try the following link. I have
recently purchased/fitted a new intercom headset package from Airzone and
although designed for use in microlights its dam perfect for the Europa. I
have no connections with the company by the way just pleased with their
products and very good after sales service. www.airzone.co.uk

Dear Jerry,

We have recently introduced lazer cut light-alloy panels for both mono and
tri-gear Europas and these are provided with all the necessary fasteners
too. For the engine panel there's the option of the standard round VDO
instruments or the Rotax Flydat. We also do blanks for the avionics and
flight instrument panels for those who may wish to set their panel out
differently to our designs. I doubt that you'd receive the Europa
newsletter, but details were shown in the last issue, No. 35.

As an aside, we have just started to produce the tooling for a long over-due
dedicated instrument module for the Tri-gear Europa. So those who are
building the tri-gear will soon have to option to have a module without the
recess for the mono-wheel's gear retraction lever.

Some time ago there was some chat on the group about sub panels and laser
cutting. I subsequently spent some time on my PC and have my A/C panel on
AutoCAD and now laser cut. As a result I have several standard cut outs that
I could easily develop into a Europa sub panel if people were interested. To
make them cheap they need to be the same. Could easily be standard six
instruments + engine instruments + fuel gauge for example. Any body
interested?
