| If you do use these "Maplin" locks strip them apart before assembly and lubricate the parts liberally with a good quality water proof grease or even silicon. Otherwise they do become a bit stiff in operation once the weather has got inside because there is no weather guard plate on the keyhole. They also do a very nice tubular key type lock suitable for hatches etc. quite small and dinky. -- Graham Edward Laucht Birmingham UK |
