I don't know of a single aircraft flying that doesn't have mods and fitting them should be considered to be part of aircraft ownership. At least they are improvements in the performance or safty of the aircraft. With the small numbers of Europas flying to date I have no doubts that we will be seeing a few more mods as the hours build up and experience is gained on type. My only comment about this one was that it was highly predictable considering that Rotax actually specify the return line as part of their standard installation. Hence my correct "guess" as to what the mod in fact was!! When you consider the next two mods which look like being issued - the tail wheel and the cool air input - these meet the criteria of worthwhile mods. I do think it will be necessary to incorporate carb heating when the cool air input plenum is fitted and hopefully this will be included in the plenum upgrade.
