Mandatory Mod. 40

Some may have noticed that the recent mandatory
change on Rotax fuel systems doesn't seem to allow much
scope for monitoring fuel consumption via a standard 'inline'
flow sensor. (for example: as used by the Benwick Fuel Computer)

Can anyone suggest a simple solution to this problem,
or is a 'mod. to the mod.' a possibility ?
