Only for curiousness:
There is a simple way making the positive build faster used by modell builders.
They use the negative foam, glue a thin plastic film (ca. 0.2-0.5mm thick) on
it,
wax, spray with 2K varnish, laminate the glass onto it, put the positive on and
close with the other negative (oc treated like the first)
After curing peel off negatives + film and the skin is "ready". (Some filling
of the
leading edge).
I don't see why it shouldn't work with "bigger" planes (as there are modells
flying
with 11m wingspan...)
