Thanks for the detailed info.
I will try to get the materilal and change to teflon sleeveed hinges.

My only hope is to get it from here (little Austria)...
I'll try to send a fax to the company. 

But if someone over the pond could assist me with purchasing, I certainly
would appreciate it...
Also for the stainless steel welding rot 1/16" dia, which I can't get here
as all seems to be metric......
