Has anyone a tip about a good make of compass to use on the Europa please?

I ordered a C2400L4VT - the quality looks good but found that the overhead
mounting
bracket really needs you to put screws through the screen - which I'd like
to avoid! I've also
had bad experiences with panel mounted compasses so I'd like one which fits
somehow to
the area near the front Top Hat section.
Anyone found a neat solution?
