I suggested that this be a clickable link, but Peter never got around to
implementing it. If you are using a browser as your ftp client, then you
need to insert:
ftp://ftp.avnet.co.uk
in the URL box and hit <return> or the "GOTO" button. Preferably, use a
dedicated ftp client instead of a bloated browser (cf my earlier remarks in
this thread about e-mail clients). I haven't been there recently but it has
always been available any time I've looked for it (for G-EMIN's graphics,
f'rinstance).

If you want to download rather than browse, use the email route (see other
postings on this thread). You can even get the part-filled current month's
stuff that way.
The "someone" who has previously done the updating is Peter Thomas,
facilitated by the folks at AVNET, but he is trying to build an aeroplane
and has other calls on his time such as earning a living, seeing his family
occasionally, etc. Anyone who is keen to see things happen should volunteer
to help and MAKE them happen! Moira and Monu might help you get started if
you don't know what to do (especially if you decide to make AVNET your
ISP!).
I notice, David, that you're not a Europa Club member - despite what the
internet seems to demonstrate, not everything in life is free! :-)
