I had this problem last April , but luckily found it on the ground - wrote it
up in our Strut newsletter as "Waggle waggle, push, push" as that's the way it
was found (:-)).
Sorry now I didn't promulgate it further, but thought it was just me not
allowing enough clearance.
Have since inserted a 6" run of metal tube in the line where it passes the
exhaust.
There is a teflon based protection additive (NULON) which is said to allow an
engine to survive without oil for a while. Sounds a good idea for such
emergencies but Rotax specifically warn against friction reducing additives as
they affect things like the slipper clutch sharing the same oil.
