Buy a cross-head screwdriver a foot long then you can arrange for the
screwheads all to be in the cabin, thus allowing removal without undoing the
cowling.
Insertion and removal is aided dramatically by glueing a tapered block about
20mm high centrally on the tunnel ahead of the throttle slot. The whole
module then tends to settle in right place behind all the knobs and things. A
4" hole beneath the passenger shelf allows a hand to go up inside and
attach/release connectors on the firewall. Worth putting a slit plastic tube
over the upper rim of the module when moving it to guard against scratching
the windshield.
A cable setup for running the whole module external to the plane is useful for
test.
