Re: Rectifier/Regulator Wiring
Electronics was never my forte so perhaps someone can enlighten me ...
On the Rotax Rectifier/Regulator the two G terminals go to the alternator
... thats easy
.. the R and +B feeds meet at the capacitor terminal and then feed the
battery via a 30A slo-blo fuse.
now this is where the Rotax manual and the Europa wiring diagram are
different ..
Terminal L has a wire running from it with an optional charge indicating
lamp which then meets the wire running from Terminal C, and they both then
tie into the R and +B feeds after the slo-blo fuse (in the Rotax manual) or
then run down to the main busbar (in the case of the Europa Manual).
Either way I guess the purpose is to feed terminals L and C with 12V power.
My question is, if I am not fitting the charge indicating lamp do I still
have to feed terminal L with power? Or is it redundant?
I guess it would help if I knew the purpose of Terminals L and C.
If anyone would be willing to explain I would be most grateful,
particularly those who have already wired up their Regulators.
Thanks
