Just a note to add to the message below; we still have yet to receive official
PFA acceptance of our test results. We=27ve become cautious about early
announcements
of successful tests after the many knockbacks we had from PFA engineering
over details during XS wing tests earlier this year. I=27m not saying that
this was wrong, just that PFA have a knack of spotting things that we don=27t.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year from all of us at Europa.
Best regards

>If the answer to both of the above is no, then how do the factory keep in
contact with the builders?<
I happen to know that Ivan is writing the next newsletter as we speak. It
would seem that things are steadily getting back to normal after the recent
upheaval.
One piece of news tha I can=27t resist letting out is that the Mark 1 wings
have passed the load test for 165 kts and 8.55 G. I would like to have seen
that. 4 1/2 tons of lead on those little wings must be amazing. There were
noises apparently but they didn=27t break.
That means we can go to 1370 lbs provided we incorporate the XS rear spar
carry through mod. The factory are working out cost but have said they
would prefer to make the parts in batches rather than single ones now and
again. I suggest you let them know if you are interested.
Nice little Christmas present for us at some considerable cost methinks.
Graham
