A third and smple way is to wrap an Al strip about 2" wide between the tube
and the wire. Put on the slacker side (or both if necessary) , this adjusts
the tension as you slide it aft.  Finally crimp it tight.  The adjustment is
often necessary to get the weight dead centre.
