In case you didn't hear.... a factory Cirrus SR-20 reported control
problems 5 north of the Tower in Duluth, MN yesterday. The aircraft
crashed and test pilot Scott Anderson was killed. Scott survived the
impact but later perished due to internal injuries.
Not a lot of details right now (NTSB summary attached).
Scott was an AMAZING guy... I flew off his wing for a story with the MN
Air Guard a few years ago and found him to be one of the most
exceptional guys I've ever met. Scott was also the author of two books,
a Cirrus test pilot, and a proud ANG Reserve officer... The loss is
incredible.
