You might also wish to consider the other diesel shown at Cranfield which is
lighter,
at a more advanced stage of development and, IMHO, somewhat superior. This
was the Diesel Air development. Similar in many respects to the old Jumo engines
with two pistons in both of its two cylinders (and later optionally more).
Perfect primary and secondary balance, no rocking couple and in no need of
contra rotating balance shafts. 4-point engine mounts and a shape which should
make it compatible with most popular 0-* cowls and others. Not so strong on
marketing hype however, it appears.
No web site as far as I know; e-mail address at Sales@dair.co.uk
Lets hear it also for the Dair!

Subject: Wilksch engine and other goodies
Those of us in the United States would love to hear about the new Wilksch
engine
and any other goodies on display at Cranfield. I'm glad it won the dead
grass award - surely that means someone on this list got a good look?
