If I were at firewall stage again, I would probably use
Graham's firewall. Europa's SS firewall is not easy and I
found discrepancies between the construction manual text,
the illustrations and the parts supplied. Perhaps
everything has been sorted out with the later kits.
To get to the point, I asked the same question of Europa
and they supplied some 'rubberised' material which I fixed
to the SS firewall where the rudder cables go through. (I
used another layer of SS on the rear of the firewall as a
washer to sandwich the 'rubber' and fixed them with pop
rivets). In my case the rudder pivots remain on the engine
side of the firewall with only the cables and part of their
fittings penetrating the firewall itself.
I assume this is your question, or do you mean the rudder
bars which enter the sides of the footwell? If the latter,
you can bond a close-fitting offcut of firewall material to
the side facing the landing gear.
