Gee its nice to be able to comment here.... now that I have a type rating.

Flying Kims plane I found that a 2 notch down trim still resulted in some
forward pressure on approach but was still comfortable, the trim at this
level was just right for a low level go around.
As with most aircraft the secret was flying the base and final legs at the
right speeds - I used 75 downwind , 65 base, 55 final and was able to put it
on the ground tidily each time.
