The 'Mod' is factory Mod 49 which proposed that the fuel filters are
installed between the tank and fuel selector. This enables a filter to be
installed in the 'main tank' line and also in the 'reserve tank' line.
However, this may now be incorporated as standard with the newer build
kits.
If the main line gets blocked then changing the selector over to the
reserve position brings into line the other filter which should be clean -
we hope!
