Cheers,
I note another request for info on matching aircarft antennas to their
respective transmitter/receivers - mostly the first.
Amateur radio licencees have been designing, cutting and measuring
antennas since about 1900 - that is just before computors became popular
- and before any of us could spell "aerial".
In view of their (sometimes regretted) widespread existemnce and their
avowed credo, I would be surprised not to find an experienced (pre-1990)
ham in the immediate vicinity of any Europa. I would also raise an
eyebrow were he/she to refuse the temptation to measure and suggest an
changes necessary without charge, or even a cup of tea in return.
If course, specialist electronic engineers and aviation radio
installers are not excepted, just not needed. The ham radio antenna
analysers now common are all you need.
Happy landings
