I believe powder coating does not use a hot enough temperature to affect the
strength of the aluminum parts. Looks nice too.

Subject: Powder coating aluminum?
I have been reading the submissions to the list and it appears that the
accepted practice is to Type 1 anodize the aluminum fittings and fixtures.
I
would like to know if any one has attemped to or has experience with powder
coating these items. I know that powder coating involves some pretty high
baking temperatures. Does this degrade the temper or heat treating of the
aluminum?
Any info would be much appreciated
