There seems to be some confusion with Norman's 2 (!!) Europa kit
numbers. The US register showed A026 as the c/n when N13NM was first
registered, but Norman told me shortly after that aircraft's first
flight in USA that it was actually kit 219. They were both being
built in North America before that one was shipped over to NZ, so it
could be that both aeroplanes emerged from one amalgamated pile of
parts, making it a bit of a moot point which airframe is entitled to
which c/n. From the factory's point of view it would make some sense
to have the Canadian aircraft on the US sales office's list, and the
NZ one on the UK (rest of world) office's list.
I have not heard if the NZ aircraft is still sporting the US marks.
There may be some advantages in keeping it on the US register.
Norman did not say anything about the engine for A026, the Canadian
aircraft, when we last spoke, so I am assuming it is still intended
for the Jabiru, as originally posted.
