Yes it is very difficult to clean a tank in situ. When I had an engine incident last year (which turned out not to be contamination) I put 5 liters in the tank and stirred it with compressed air while emptying with the electric pump through a filter paper. This had to be done no less than 13 times before the paper remained clean. Graham C. |
