Cut out the disk then make an angled cut to roughly match the vertical shape first. Sand, gouge, curse until the curve in that direction is established. Repeat the cut, sand, gouge, curse process on the horizontal face. Actually it's not that hard to do and only takes about half an hour a side. The redux/flox will fill up any small gaps and you have the ability to sand back the face for perfect alignment once you have the block bonded onto the aircraft.
