Can I just throw in my two-penneth here - I would not recommend using MDF
for the bench top. I did that and like Andrew found that it tended to sag
between the supports. I swapped the MDF for a 25mm (1") piece of plywood
which is much stiffer and will not sag.

Regards

Rick
