Mine is a piece of 3mm (1/8 inch) fiberboard sized to fit within the
"raised" rectangle and is mounted flush to it. I installed six small wood
blocks, each with a threaded insert, bonded with flox to the "roof" panel.
Six mounting points are required to force the panel to approximate the
curvature of the surrounding structure.
