I like your philosophy Fergus,
Just a thought about language and its evolution. Remeber Esperanto, the
synthetic Europaean language invented to combine features of French,
Spanish, German etc. and therefore be easy to learn? It already existed,
and was called English. If we English speakers tidied up the spelling a bit
and cut out a few ridiculous anomalies it would be easy to learn.
