| Hi, All -- Re my previous post on the spiral surface cracks under the brass bearings, I can report they (after dressing out as described) they passed a Magnaflux dye penetrant test. In discussion with a gent long experienced at this stuff, including designing/building a twin amphib, et.al., it was believed that the cause was a lot of welding heat necessary for a rather complex ass'y, residual stress-wise.
