Gas struts for the doors

On 03 July Erich Trombley wrote recommending reversing the attachment points of
the gas struts so the door is activated nearer the middle of the curved section.
Would you, Erich, or someone else who has done this give me some measurements
to locate the new attachment points. Erich mentions that clearances are tight!
