TO) THE RESULT WAS THAT DUE TO THE WING INCIDENCE THE A/C WAS DRAGGED UNDER
FOR THE SECOND TIME. WHEN THE LIFEBOAT CREW GOT THE GREY CELLS WORKING THE
REALEASED THE TOW AND ATTACHED IT TO THE PROPELLOR NOW THE A/C VIRTUALLY
SKIPPED ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE SCILLIES SOME 15 NM.
THE AIRCRAFT WAS SLIGHTLY DAMAGED ON THE LEADING EDGE BY THE LIFEBOAT.
THE ENGINE WAS HOSED DOWN AND THE SUMP AND CYLINDERS FILLED WITH DIESEL. IT
RAN 3 MONTHS LATER ALTHOUGH SUBSEQUENTLY SCRAPPED
NB THE GROB FLEW AGAIN 6 MONTHS AFTER AND IS STILL AROUND PROBABLY WITH
ANOTHER 2000 HOURS ON THE HOBBS.
THE GROB HAS SPOILERS AND NOT FLAPS ALTHOUGH THE WINGS ARE NEARLY 60 FT
