This one surprises me! I have an identical set up. ie. 912s with an XS.
Strangely my engine seems to run cool most of the time, and I have to put
some blanking into the tunnel to get the temps above 80c.in the winter. Even
in the summerI have never had the slightest reason to worry about oil and
water temps.
I guess that you have sealed the surrounds of the coolers to make sure that
all of the air goes through them. Failing that, bring it over to Blighty and
get some natural cooling.
