The tailwheel fork (XTW07) has provision for a grease nipple. This feeds into
the internal chamber between the upper and lower bearings. But this chamber has
a large open slot at the rear, so preventing the build up of pressure needed to
force fresh grease through the bearings.
This appears to be a good way of lubricating the rear tyre but a less good way
of lubricating the fork bearings.
Is anyone using this ? Am I missing something or can I achieve a weight
reduction ? :-) [I don't have the roll pin in the slot as I am using the
GS conversion.]
