Which is why the bolts must go through the tie bar rod and the W34 end
fittings, something that was not particularly clear in the original
instructions and which is complicated by the gear ribs on the tri-gears

I think you might find that the tie-bar is to counter aerodynamic forces
that are trying to pull the wings forward. Something to do with forward
bending moments at increased loading in the area of Va. Perhaps one of
our
aerodynamicists can illucidate.
