To those interested,
January 21, 2003 - another date which will live in infamy. The Europa
Motorglider version (Mini U2) Was officially blessed by the FAA. It now has
an airworthiness certificate and operating limitation. I will be restricted
to a 100 nmi radius of the Minden Airport for the first 40 hours of flight
testing, and after that the world.
Now all remains to be done is to get a motorglider endorsement in my logbook
(a work in progress) and find insurance (if possible). The airplane is legal
to fly. First flight would be sometime this weekend or next week.
Progress,
Dave
