Ferg,
I would put them as far back as possible for the CG. Mine are under the
baggage floor and if I had it to do over again, I would put them farther back.
The
glider wings need a further aft CG, though. Forward is better for cable runs,
but the CG would be a problem. I am installing my O2 bottle in the aft under
the stab counter weight for CG purposes too.
