I have a fixed pitch 64" WD set at 20.5 degrees. The idle is set to 1400rpm,
but by pulling back hard against the closed-stop this can be reduced to
1200. All this helps, but not enough.
Having said that, the take-off distance is well balanced with the landing
distance.
