Klass, The main reason is because the rubber tube supplied with the Europa kit allowed fuel to weep through and gave many aircraft a heavy fuel smell. Now people use the aluminum tube and cut two pieces of the rubber tube to act as a splice ---From the filler port to the aluminum tube then from the aluminum tube to the tank.
