Europa G-IRON, a hightop trigear, 914, Airmaster 332 made her maiden flight
at 15.03 on Monday 14th November at Blackbushe Airport (EGLK Camberley
Surrey). P. Jeffer is the test pilot.
Despite checking and rechecking everything the nose wheel spring had lost
some of its tension. Small problem with a disconnected wire in radio (We
had had the head panel off on Sunday to check door adjustment). Three
flights on Monday total time 1 hour. Tuesday prop balance before more
flights. This shows prop has a wobble at 3000 rpm not preventing flight but
must be fixed for sign her off. Two more flights (Total 50mins).
Final decoration and upholstery still to be done. She has come out rather
heavy at 950lb so some weight reduction is also needed.
