So far (480 hours) I haven't had a problem with mine, but that doesn't mean
I won't in the future.

Graham Singleton made me couple of pins that have a tapered sleeve at each
end that are designed to expand the stainless steel sleeve.  I suspect that
getting them off again would be difficult, however they look like that they
would fix the problem and they are simple to make.
