Hi! Mike.
Yes I explained that even with the clips you now see, the PFA require
another inverted =93L=94 shaped clip pop riveting to the lower cowl
either
side of the spinner so that the =93foot=94 of the inverted =93L=94
engages with
a suitable slot in the upper cowl by depressing the upper cowl to get it
behind the foot of the =93L=94.
I=92ve re-read this description a number of times and can=92t think of a
way
to improve it. If you can=92t understand I=92ll have to do a sketch and
scan
it and attach it. Let me know.
Otherwise there is only one of the over centre clips on each side. You
will need to shorten the tapered pins in the firewall and round them to
be only about =BC=94 of taper and a small amount of parallel diameter .

Bob,
Thanks so much.....a few pix are worth several thousand words. So the
top cowl is set on top and slide back to mate with the tapered pins
mounted on the firewall and the cam locks up front secure it in place.
Do you know if there are more than the one cam locks on each side? I do
have a Jab cowl but I must have gotten a set before they added the
recesses.
