I changed my mind! Working on mounting switch for gear lever, came to conclusion
it will be more eloquent and functional to imbed a magnet on the tip of the
gear down latch on the port side of the aeroplane, and use a reed switch.
We ordered up from Allied an assortment of Coto Technology Dyad reed switches
(both
molded and not, mini and regular all with wire leads), and the only magnet
they offered that seemed would work. Also ordered and assortment of magnets
---From McMaster.
This way the only way the reed switch (on the port side below) will be turned on
is if the latch is down, which means the lever is in proper position.
Will post what we decide on.
