Hi Pete=2C you said:
Re tensioning the Mono bungee is easy easy compared with tightening the tri
gear bungee.
I wonder whose trigear you are referring to. The tri bungee is fully acces
sible from underneath=2C and re-tensioning it is a 20-minute job=2C but it
is a 2-man job=2C unless one of the other solutions is used=2C i.e. springs
or multiple separate loops.

Subject: Europa-List: Re-tensioning undercarriage bungees=2C monowheel.
Greetings to all from Kenya.
Kenya Europa classic monowheel 5Y-LRY has been flying 10 years now (550 hou
rs)=2C and the retract bungee is getting tired. After takeoff and climbout
at 70 knots the pressure on the flaps helps the retract process=2C but the
retract lever needs a good shove into the forward recess. It would seem t
hat changing the bungee is really quite a nightmare=2C and perhaps I can st
ave this off for a year or two by retensioning them (I have never done this
before). Has anyone tried this? How much life can I expect on retensioni
ng?
All the best
Richard
