John Wigney gave me some Dye-Lite leak detector tracer dye, product #
TP-3700
manfrd by spectronics corpn , Westbury N.Y., you can find it on line
somewhere.
In the end I did not have to use it, as soon as I plumbed the vent
line back into the tank filler neck the smell went away,
