I second Freds request for a photo. But if it is what I am afraid it is
- then this is some serious structural damage and you need to involve
the company to judge whether repair or raplacement is in order.

In an effort to align the left wing aileron quick connect (reposition
page 27/16 in the manual) I inadvertently ground out about 1/4 '' from
the upper glass of the spar - that is to say the spar has a ply core
with glass upper and lower parts. I ground away the upper glass part.
Is this a disaster?
