I once had a long talk with Craig about a possible prop for the Europa.
He had some interesting ideas, suggesting that the ideal configuration
would be a two blade design and thought that variable pitch was
unnecessary.
When you listen to him describe the variables, you begin to realise what
skill prop design is.
He started as a teenager and designed and built his own micro-light long
before "micolights" had been invented. Here's an interesting old
documentary featuring Craig and his flying machine filmed some 30 years
