David,
>>I am in the middle of complaining to the Belgian government and EASA about it,
having refused to pay, and in the hope of bringing them into line with the rest
of Europe. <<
Very good, David. Stephan and I each parted with 80 to fly along the Belgian
coastline
to/from Popham this summer. Hope to avoid it next time!
>>Have you seen the Guide to Flying in Europe which details which countries

PPR- copy attached?<<
The Channel Islands are listed as non-PPR. This is correct only for
UK-registered
aircraft operating on Permit to Fly. For non-UK aircraft the approval/permission
is from the Director of Civil Aviation, who can be contacted by email on:
dca@gov.je. Stephan and I got permissions this way (quickly, friendly and
at no charge) both for Jersey and Guernsey, but poor weather before and after
Popham forced us to cancel visits to these nice islands.
Regards,
Svein Johnsen
