Hi Juergen,
The airbox would have / should have been supported by an Alloy strut [ 25mm
x 3mm ] bolted through the rear face of the airbox, to a rubber cushione
d P clip on the Engine frame.
Mounting on the carbs only is not enough.
Cheers,
Nev.

Subject: Europa-List: Air box question classic installation.
Hello,
the air box on my classic has been modified by the builders to have the opt
ion
or carb heating.
o it became bigger and heavier.
nfortunately it never worked.
want to undo the modification and have a question about the original desig
n.
n my modified air box is a support laminated in, which is connected to the
ngine mount.
s that necessary? Is there a support at all in the factory deign or do only
the
arbs carry the air box as I am expecting?
Thank you
Juergen
