I apologize if this question has been asked before. While assembling the
CS13 pitch rod inside the CS05 aileron torque tube, I noticed the tails of
the rivets stick out quite a bit into the aileron torque tube. It also
seems to me that the pitch rod motion is not exactly coaxial with the
torque tube. So I am concerned if the rivet tails may interfere with this
motion.
The clearance between the rivet tails and the CS13 does not seem like a
whole lot, and it is difficult to assess this clearance until everything is
assembled. But by that time it would be difficult to reposition the rivets.
I am wondering if there is such as thing as short tail rivets, which may be
useful in this application.
Any advice on this topic would be appreciated!
