I am looking at adding heating to the end of a standard europa pitot pipe from
aircraft spruce. Either using the positive temperature coeffient PTC resistors
as proposed/built by Eric M Jones for his glastar or using power resistors
around
the tube end and a thermistor/silicon sensor based drive to heat when its
around zero. This way could make pitot heating viable on a standard 912S
alternator.
It could be sufficiently light as to make no difference to the mounting
method.
