Thanks for that information Bill. I'll keep that on file for future reference.

In my case, I consulted the Rotax Forum & saw advice from an A & P mechanic who
stated that even though Rotax advise to balance the Carbs at idle rpm, in his
experience he found that balancing the Carbs at 3500rpm gave a better result.
So I tried it & it seems to have solved the problem.
